文革的故事(保护现场)
我从小受的就极正统的教育, 学校家里都一个样, 母亲把我压得非常厉害, 任何叛逆她
都一定要纠过来, 对那个党, 对那个人, 对祖国人民不许有任何的疑问, 在家里说都不
许. 她聪明又执著, 还学过心理学. 用现在的话来说, 我与她在信息和资源上极不对等
, 你看我倒不倒霉. 我从来就没有赢过, 连象征性的都没有. 我自认为聪明的那些花招
, 她根本不用想就了如指掌. 她几乎成功了, 如果没有文革的话, 我一定还在琢磨着学
雷锋, 怎样为共产主义奋斗终身.
而父母年轻时是很叛逆的, 那个时代叛逆是很时髦, 像现在的做小资, 所以青年知识分
子大多叛逆. 什么闹学潮, 赶校长都少不了父母, 有时还是领袖. 我想他们已经领教了
叛逆带来挫折, 更何况知道那个党的手段, 时代变了, 叛逆不但不时髦, 反而会带来灭
顶之灾. 我对她太宝贵, 因而她不敢拿我冒一点点风险. 也可能她已看到我有反骨,
当然她不知道, 我能到美国来胡说八道, 这里还在时髦这个.
由于早年的教育, 我们这一代骨子里面往往都是理想主义者, 但

的项目也会越来越少？

想转行，不知道转这行怎么样？
因为这个有certificate 课程，修些课程后可以要reference，然后上ms。。。
不然其他行业，reference怎么解决？
本人女，没有身份。。。快30岁了。功课国内硕士毕业
如果有这行的前辈指点，不胜感激。。。

就交通来说，是有冲击的。德州交通厅把研究经费砍掉50%。很多公司不招人了，但是
至少没有layoff。

这个A number是啥？没有绿卡，以前会有这个么？是140 approval notice上那个？
另外，以前J2申请的EAD上有个A number，这个需要填么？
多谢，比较迷惑这点

据说09年下半年时对commercial building的影响就会显露出来。不过德州貌似是个例
外，到处都跟工地似的。

多谢，这个填么？485上那个都没填，二者应该一样吧
另外，主申请人填了这个，那副申请人填什么？
那个照片上说背后写A#,这个写哪个啊？

As far as I know, Halff Inc. Dallas office laid off over 20 people, and most
of them are engineers. From what I've seen, the possibilities of layoff in
big civil companies are less than small firms.

TxDOT= Texas Dept. of Transpotation
TTI= Texas Transportation Institute, a research institute in Texas A&M
University

IMO what happend in TxDOT is a special case. Of course the deteriorate
economy and gas price hit transportation hard, but I somehow feel the TxDOT
problem is mainly cause by their own financial chaos and other political
reasons.

transportation master 明年毕业 主要有点planning或者modeling

i heard that someone in txdot used a wrong multiplier for finnancial
planning and pumped up the real budget by 100%.............
so afterwards they did not CUT the budget, but corrected the mistake........
.....
