nice!
they have to be THE most technology savvy organizers in the us! clips are
pretty good quality. why do small clips always look so much faster? there
has to be scientific explanation right?
i didn't know the ann arbor couple dance pro-am individually too. wow, they
must really love to dance and have lots of money.

It's the first time, actually, i see professional smooth. Kind of
interesting. I feel there are too many arms waving around. Don't you feel
the same way?

yes, it's a lot of arm-waving. the best smooth, and you did get to see some
of the best, is beautiful to look at but i can't deal with the early rounds.
too chaotic. in general, i prefer smooth choreography that has a decent
amount of closed position work.

although you see some of it in tango too:)

inhaling air through teeth, just like when you check your wound that hurts,

admire! you have time to do that in jive? i can hardly keep up with the
speed. it has to happen after a syncopated step, where you have a little
more time...

when you 1-2-3 on left foot, you shake your head to left ya, on right foot,
shake to right
same time, you can inhale, smile ya, with smaller steps tho

people thought it quite sexy :)

Hm...dancedance's mom commented on chinese DWTS and USDBS, you mom commented
on latin dancers' facial expression. No wonder you gals dance! There's
biological gene, even though your moms don't dance.

yeah, if we consider love is a happy successful thing, then, the way of
achieving this success is not a happy one, true or not? just theoretically,
haha, that's what rumba is about, the way, not the result, haha

嗨呀, that's what ruined my paso practice last night. I laughed myself onto
the ground on the facial expression topic. Then later, during the private
lesson, my teacher said "where are you looking? Look at me aggressively!",
which, as you can imagine, triggered my 笑神经...

i would think that in practice, you have to get your body doing the right
things before worrying about facial expression. the face and the body
actions should match.

yes yes, should match
but i think, again, if we can fake some feelings inside ourselves, that will
help
for example, jive, let's be happy, happy and happy, then when we dance, we
will jump around
i.e. waltz let's be georgeous, not WS, then, when we dance, we look
georgeous, haha

深情的 is smiling? usually not, until it comes to 会心的or羞涩的
