见到了Karyna at Independence Dance Camp. She is so cute, with a happy and
lovely personality. 跟我差不多高，呵呵 :) 在camp度过了幸福的两天. 细节一会
儿再慢慢报道.
LA的dancers要幸福了. Karyna is moving from NYC to LA! I once contacted a
studio where they lists Karyna's name on their website, but the manager said
their floor to teach; their students somehow get to know them at
competitions or workshops. NOW I finally get to 'know' her, but she is
moving away from nyc. 我大哭...

They are based in NJ but show up from time to time in nyc. But they are
super busy and very hard to get access to - that's what i heard.

那倒是，一般还在compete的couple都比较忙。
不过nyc怎么都能碰到好老师，不像我们中西部，比较惨。。。

does it really matter that much whether you can take lesson from a superstar
dancer? at this level ( by that I mean most people on this board), it makes
very little difference whether this teacher is #1 in the world or #20 in NJ
, what matters is whether he/she is a good teacher who can explain things
well and can give good diagnosis

surely it makes a huge difference!
u will pay a lot more if u visit a superstar often.

this is something i have been pondering for quite a while. the answer is not
an easy one.

I think the answer is pretty obvious: unless you have been placing in pre-
champ champ of major comps, there is no need to pay huge money to get the
same information, not to mention great dancers may not necessarily be great
teachers.

major comps, like which ones?
National Collegiate? USA Dance Regionals?

I think the answer is pretty obvious: unless you have been placing in pre-
champ champ of major comps, there is no need to pay huge money to get the
same information, not to mention great dancers may not necessarily be great
teachers.
