why my OEM can find a romote database and manage it but could not
find the local database OEM is running on? it can find the local node but
not the database...
I am new, help is highly appreciated. thanks!

use tnsping command to see which error you got.

then check your tnsnames.ora under ora_home/network/admin/ directory.
reconfigure a local service name for local connection.

please start your oracle agent in the services
