want to take one but found this:
"Instructor-led class requirement for candidates starting on the Oracle9i DBA
Certified Professional credential exam path (effective September 1, 2002**). "
What does this mean? Need I attend a training class beside exams?

I just upgraded to 9i one week ago. Let me see whether they will mail me the
certification package. :)

yeah, it's true(check oracle's website by yourself), you have to take 1 class
no matter how well you did in all your exams (unless you finished at least 1
before 09/01/2002).
for 9i, if you finish the first 2, you can still get the OCA, but until you
finish the class, even you finish the other 2 exams, you still can NOT get the
final OCP DBA cert.
o$'s new damn policy to make some more $.

OCPs that are already certified in version 7.3, 8.0 or 8i of the Oracle
database do not have to meet this requirement in order to upgrade their
credential to Oracle 9i.
