from technical point of view, how does oracle personal edition compare to
mySQL?
i heard mysql is not good for large database application. but i just want
to play with it in my PC and i need a easy-to-configure one.

If you have a spare machine, you can install oracle on it.
Otherwise, just use mySQL. Oracle eats a lot of memory.

yeah, Oracle takes 2G space and more than 300M memory.

it's written in java now?
the config GUI i used before is Java, which sucks. dunno why people like to
use java to write interface. hell slow.
