想用CATALOG但又想省事.不知道这样行不行:
In the same instance as production database, create a seperate tablespace and
create RMAN catalog inside that new tablespace. The whole production database
have user-managed backup.
Any serious problem?

it works if you just backup the database
however, you will get trouble if you recover the database
when it cannot be mounted or opene
