我的XP Pro SP2上本来装了oracle 10g的，想弄11g玩玩儿，于是按照下面这个说法将
10g卸载了。

双击11g的setup.exe或者oui.exe, 会出现下图所显示的一屏，但是hang在那儿大概一
分钟就没有了，什么也没有发生。不知道怎么装，麻烦指点迷津。多谢。

check installation log file: ...\Inventory\logs
Log filenames from interactive installations take the form:
installActionsdate_time.log
I have installed 11g on WinXP SP2 without any problem

没有inventory目录，但是在
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\OraInstall2008-02-17_01-
14-49PM
下面有这个log 文件：
installActions2008-02-17_01-14-49PM.log
内容如下：

did you check the checksum of your Oracle file downloaded (*.zip file)?
I found sometimes IE6/7's downloads are not correct, so I always use firefox
to download from Oracle (Oracle hates MS!)

Thank you. After I turned off the Windows XP Firewall, the install was succ
essful.
My system 圡得掉渣，can barely drag Oracle along. Oracle uses 230M memory o
r so and java.exe uses around 110M memory. Because the entire system has on
ly 512M + 256M memory, it's virtually unusable if Oracle runs.

No, I only have the free Toad. I have not tried 11g yet.
