Is there a better way to get all the latest posts than to crawl the web pages? I don't know how the following web site did it. You guys may have a clue from its site structure. http://bbsdigest.com/

我也想弄,我想了想,是不是用telnet更好分析一些,貌似没看到“最新更新”在哪儿。

this site is build with php and apache on Ubuntu. There could be batch job r uns on the server to scape; or the developer knows mitbbs DB structure and h as access ..; there is a lot of way to get data. As you've asked the question here, I would suggest you try out newly release d OData..

Cogt, would you please elaborate the OData a little bit? http://www.odata.org/ Is this the correct link? It looks like a new method to expose the data. If mitbbs doesn't support it? Can we still use it in some way to retrieve the posts? Thanks. I'm using the mitbbs iphone application. Just curious how its developer did it.

if mitbbs doesn't implement OData service, you have to write your own.
If did
