w2k server, smtp server installed.
I have a .net web application that use .net email functionality
to create email and send them out. I can saw all email in the
mailroot\Queue\ direcotry. But they just stay there, the smtp
is supposed to send them out.
What's the problem? I guess maybe there are some settings need
to be turned on?
I have zonealarm pro installed. will it cause problem? I shut it
down and try send email again, but still no luck. All email

Your DNS server doesn't work well. Your SMTP server can not find the Server IP
of the email address.
Solution:
1. Specify an external SMTP server.
2. Try to send emails to hotmail, yahoo.com,...,etc. Usually, Local SMTP will
not have such problem.
3. Check your SMTP setup, usually there's a configuration called "delivery" or
something like "Forwarding" (I can not remember), which will allow your SMTP
to forward to a more powerful SMTP server if it can not solve the address.

I did try to send email to hotmail, but still have DNS problem, here is the
warning message I found in the event view windows:
Message delivery to the remote domain 'hotmail.com' failed for the
following reason: An internal DNS error caused a failure to find the
remote server.
how to solve this error? I don't have any other mail server to use.

DNS server problem is a different topic, which can not be addressed here.
You can try:
mail.attbi.com as your SMTP server.

I guess it won't work unless he is a user of AT&T Broad band.

you could install sth like yahoopops to work as your smtp server
or check out this article here to roll a really easy one for yourself:
