I am wondering how to implement a web based instant messenger in .net. Thank
you in advance if anyone can provide experience or direct a direction!
MSN messenger or Yahoo messenger are good, but they need to install client
side software. Some website implemented web based instant messenger for
registerred members in their system can see and send instant message to each
other once users login to the system. This is cool. But how to implement it?
Any third party components? Any tutorial or samples

Really? I googled it, but didn't find it. Another issue, I am interested in a
"Web-based" messenger source code or principle, which means nothing is needed
to be installed on the client PC. To the best of my knowledge, MS doesn't
provide such a product, though other third parties do. But there is no
principle or source code. Actually, it is little like a online chat room with
message-receive-alerting feature. Any idea?

Check out Asp.Net forum. 2.0 is working in progress. And you can read the
source code from gotdotnet workspace.
