i did a comparsion test and couldn't really see the difference.
32in Sony + Pioneer Elite DVD + Monster Video3 S-video and component

Isn't component a must for progressive scan? I compared progressive scan +
component with non-progressive scan + S-video on HDTV. The difference is
clear. Don't know which one is the main factor.

HD. so the difference is not very clear.

Right. What I meant is if you use progressive scan and HDTV, the difference
might be clear.
