Planning to ask employer to apply for GC for me before H1b application while
I an in OPT. Since I need to apply for GC for a future position, not my
current one....want to make sure it works before I start H1b....H1b will be
on my current position. Is there any complication with this approach?

asked lawyer. they said the risk is that if I file 140 before I get H1b, I
will not be able to renew F1. If I apply for EB2 now and apply for H1b next
year, is it possible for me to file 140 before the h1b getting approved?
Not quite sure what exactly is "renew F1"...
