看了PAR，上面写不需要或只要minimal的results，而且是unpublished。但是去了一些
grantsmanship seminar，那帮consultant又说基本一定是需要的，所以现在比较疑惑。
请问版上有经验的老师，真实情况到底是怎么样的，reviewer会希望看到preliminary
results吗？如果是的话，放多少合适呢？

Trust me, you need preliminary results for R21 (a lot actually). All the
R21 RFAs state that you do not need it, but your proposal will not be
competitive because all proposals will have significant preliminary results.

Trailblazer R21是一个例外
你几乎不需要任何preliminary result
但是一定要很新的idea

Grant consultants也是这个意思，但是我看trailblazer的说明上明确说preliminary
data不超过半页，感觉这回他们是认真的

results.

那请问要如何justify项目的可行性呢？通过引用已经发表的paper吗？还是有更常用的
方法？

Well, if it is stated, then it will favor greatly for more senior
investigators. Anyway, R21 is suppose for senior investigators anyway.
