今天刚申到了这个卡，申请的时候网站上写的是50,000 bonus miles after spending
多少钱不记得了，但是今天登入chase online看到的是
Earn 10,000 bonus award miles after you spend $25,000 on your card each
calendar year
这个正常么？

Please first excuse me for taking your time. My name is ***, and I am a
postdoc researcher at ***under the supervision of Dr. S. My research is

*. Recently I've been preparing to apply for US permanent residence and need
to find independent referees to testify my academic performance and
research capability. Dr. S recommended you to me, as you are a renowned and
distinguished professor in the *** field. I am wondering if I could have the
honor to have you as an independent referee to support my application. For
your reference, I've attached my CV.
The process is actually very easy. I will have a sample letter draft and
you could revise as you think appropriate. Then you can either sign it
electronically and send to me through email, or fax it to me, or send to me
by mail (I can provide a carrier account for charges).
If you are kind enough to say yes, could you please send me your CV so that
I can prepare a draft letter starting with brief introduction about your
background? If you think it's not appropriate, could you also please
kindly let me know? I can totally understand it.

聪明不聪明的孩子都喜欢玩，大部分正常的孩子是不会抱怨学校无聊的，他们能把布置
的东西越快做完越高兴，自然越简单越好，这样可以有更多时间玩，少数有远大理想的
可能除外。读书也看理解，吸收了多少，不只是能不能读，学校教孩子还是很系统的。
数学也不只是背下来，还是通过很多更直观方式让他们理解，会算的孩子不一定理解的
也很好。对于大部分孩子尤其小孩子来说来说，年纪还是一条无法逾越的鸿沟。五岁和
九岁的孩子都可以读一本书，但是他们读到的东西差别就大了。

I agree same book can be read in different way and different comprehension,
especially non-fiction topics.
My kid borrow, return, borrow again, return again, for the same books
several times, if she likes the book.
And probably I did the same thing on Wikipedia, etc etc

There are a lot more things to learn and do in K than reading/writing/math

是的，上k之后就要学特长了，中文和钢琴是绝对要上的，所以这样下来孩子攻学业的
时间就会少很多了。学校里本来就是玩的，不指望能在学校里学到什么东西。届时让她
考天才班或者单科补课，考不进去的话就转私立，其实是很简单的事情。

任何阶段都有人觉得上课boring.
上大学时数学分析很难，我们一般听完课还要花很多时间消化，做作业，有那个几个
聪明的，从不听课，都是课前自己看看就懂了，上课就做作业，下课就去玩。
中学阶段，教科书的内容不多，肯定更多人感到boring吧。

俺大娃二年级的时候抱怨 boring，应该跟私立公立转学无关（一年级开学转的）。
我在那个时候为了解决娃 boring 的问题，让娃开始 library reading 。。。

我家的K娃几乎每天都说上学无聊。因为她总是很快就能做完老师布置的东西，就开始
左右找人讲话，然后就拿ticket了。 主要也是老师的问题。她转校前的老师总是看娃
做完一张worksheet,就再给她几张，keep her busy， 就不会出现无聊的问题。
