According to FT's wiki, as of February, 2015, you can get an AA Personal
Platinum Mastercard every 18 months, OFFICIALLY.
"American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles not available if you have had a
Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard opened or closed in the past 18
months."
More importantly, AA Execs no longer reset the 18-month clock.

刚才刷状态，发现副申请（老婆和儿子）的485 显示：
Request for Additional Evidence Was Mailed
On August 20, 2015, we mailed a request for additional evidence for your
Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status。
主申请还是 Fingerprint Fee Was Received
这是什么状况？有人遇到过类似的情况么？
我还没收到信件，所以不知道什么情况，先来这里问问。。。

这个rule早几个月就在那了。
AA Plat
AA Exec
AA Business
分别各算各的，都是18个月可以申请一次。

官方语言是从开卡或者关卡（后面一个）开始算。
但是实践是开卡开始算。当然保险起见不关卡就好了，只能按开卡算了。

AA exec is always churnable without 18 months restriction. It's only limited
by 8/65 rule.
Earlier this year someone could churn AA plat and AA biz within 18 months,
say 12-18 months. But since this Feb, 18-month is hard-coded.

没搞明白。18个月到底是从关卡还是开卡算？
比如，我有一张Platinum Visacard 两年前开的，付了一次年费。
1）我可以把它关掉，隔天再申一张拿bonus，或者
2）关掉后等18个月再申？

别关，先申请新卡。申到以后拿到bonus再关之前那张。

没搞明白。18个月到底是从关卡还是开卡算？比如，我有一张Platinum Visacard 两年
前开的，付了一次年费。1）我可以把它关掉，隔天再申一张拿bonus，或者2） .....

这个官方语言是：

这个new card members有讲究。没关算不算new card members呢？

I just converted my Platinum card to brone. Not received new card yet. Maybe
I can apply for a new card?

如果你的plat是18个月以前开的，根据这个条款也许可以再申请。不过convert也算
close的吧，所以也可能不行。

我是两年前开的。要交第二次年费的时候转卡了。刚转 citi说原来的benefit还在？直
到一个月后？搞不等citi为什么转卡这么慢
