Lang Lang's Concert With Buffalo Philharmonic Postponed

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) -- The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's concert wtih
pianist Lang Lang, scheduled for Saturday, January 29, has been postponed.
Promoters say Lang Lang will be unable to perform, because of an illness.
According to a statement from the BPO:
We have rescheduled the date for this July and all tickets will be
honored for that performance.
Patrons are also encouraged to use their Lang Lang tickets for a free
concert tomorrow night at Kleinhans beginning at 8 PM. JoAnn Falletta will
conduct the BPO.
Lang's managers at Columbia Artist Management, Inc. say in a written
statement that Lang has a stomach virus.
“Of course, we wish Lang Lang a full and speedy recovery and look forward
to performing with him in July," Falletta says. "We’re happy to still be
able to perform for those who were planning to come to the concert tomorrow.”
The BPO announced late Friday night that Joyce Yang will join the orchestra
at Saturday's replacement concert, playing Rachmaninoff Paino Concerto No. 2.
Tickets already purchased for Lang Lang's appearance will be honored at the
Joyce Yang replacement performance, and at the rescheduled Lang Lang concert
in July, at no extra charge.
