被coming soon 刺激到了，写了个程序追踪 HP 网站上 touchpad 更新, 可以放心睡觉了
keep checking webpage such as HP home, any update, will notify you by text
message to cell phone
requirement: firefox 6.0 + check4change 1.9 addon + gmail account
installation: unzip and run setup
how to use:
Gmail Account : follow the example
Gmail Password: follow the example
C4C log Path: find it in firefox( upperright corner orange button -> add-
ons -> Extensions -> Check4change ->options->settings Logging Files Folder
copy that string to the textbox,
C4C log file: go to the url with firefox, highlight the string you are
interested, right click and choose check4change, use custom, define the
check time, also check the Log changes to log file
click ok, now go to your Logging Files Folder, find the new
log file it created for this url, copy the filename to the textbox
refresh time: suggest same as c4c check time, or longer
To cellphone: if you use other than at&t, google the right mail address for
txt message
msg from:
msg subject:
msg body:
now click the start, now if the log file updated, message will sent to your
phone! and program will stop, you need click start again if you want
continue track, or change the url.
good luck with buying HP touchpad, now i got 4 cancellation email and 0
touchpad
note:
1) if program not open, try install newest .net framework from microsoft.
2) you can test with slickdeal webpage for hp touchpad , since the page
number changes every second !
3) if you have concern about security, register a new gmail account!
