That article on 'game theory' was written by a professor at Wharton, but I do
have my own opinions on game theory and econ research in general.
Both game theory and econ research center their interest on human behavior.
However, the dominantly sole assumption made is that human beings are
rational and trying to optimize personal gains, which is obviously true to
a large extent, while on the other hand, didn't cover many other humane
aspects
that may even have a larger impact on behavior in certa

Good post. However, I do not think that explaining emotional behavior is
a problem for economics or game theory. Essentially you can create
another utility function to explain that. The problem, to me, is that the
equilibrium concepts in game theory and other economic theories assume that
people are able to understand the equilibrium and take the opponents' strategy
as given. It is, the information and knowledege requirement for arriving at one
specific equilibrium is enormous. In reality, people

I don't agree with this. Measuing emotional behavior is a big obstacle, not
as simple as JUST adding another utility function.
First of all, utility theory is still under attack. Although we appreciate
the simplicity and intuitiveness of such concept, using numbers to reflect
the TRUE VALUE of a player given certain game settings is very difficult,
if not impossible. It is more a philosophical problem, and it would be
interesting
to find out the answer.
Second of all, assinging values in terms
