Well, FROG stands for freqency-resolved optical gating.
For my knowleadge, one traditional way is use
autocorrelation
(use second hormonic crystal to get the autocorrelation
output)
in time domain to measure the pulse width. But one
disadvantage
that you need to change the delay little by little, then
collect
all the point to get the autocorrelation curve, then use it
to
get the pulse width.
For FROG, it also use something like that, but the
difference the
delay comes from the certain the spati
