We are seeking a backend software engineer to join our team, starting
immediately. Our team is small but
very experienced and capable. Multiple successful companies built and sold
and now we are doing it again.
This role will have a lot of responsibilities as we operate in a very open
and transparent culture. We trust
you will make the best decisions and that's also why we want the best guys
on our team.
Here's a sample of what you might work on
•Create highly scalable backend system features for our website and
platform
•Constantly look for ways to improve application performance and user
experience
•Write unit tests
•Perform peer code reviews
•Work with managers and senior engineers to define new website
features
•Bring new and fresh ideas to the table
Requirements:
•Must love to develop
•Experience with either a compiled language (Java) or scripting (PHP,
Python) languages
•Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
•Know Unix/Linux and shell scripting
•BS in Computer Science or related discipline in progress
•Extreme attention to detail
•Knows how to handle themselves
Bonus Points:
•Java or PHP experience
•Experience manipulating large data sets
•Experience developing in a high traffic Internet environment
•Knows the latest text mining technology
•Familiar with artificial intelligent/machine learning techniques
