I installed a file manager. When I tried to start the application,
it complained:
>error while loading shared libraries: libidn.so.11:
>cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
If I do ldd, it says not found:
>libidn.so.11 => not found
However,
>locate libidn.so.11
>/usr/lib64/libidn.so.11
>/usr/lib64/libidn.so.11.6.9
怎么办？谢谢！

现在在一个万人的企业做financial reporting。
每个月月结10个工作日，天天满负荷，1-2天会需要加班。
季结的时候，3-4天，或者更多需要加班
年结的时候，加班更多。
每次结帐做的时候都是重复，但需要应对随时的account adjustments，然后反复更改
。
最烦的是应付audit. 内审外审轮流来。不光要提供Sox testing support，还要完成他
们的flux schedule，不同的quarter的financials对比，不同年度的financials对比，
然后提供解释。
成就感是会有，但真的很累。
我也要成家了，也要有小孩的。这样做下去，哪里会有时间照顾家庭啊。
同做financial reporting的也有同感吗？还是我的公司给每个人都工作量太大了。

make sure a few things:
1. /usr/lib64/libidn.so.11 is not a invalid symbol link
2. Your executable is a 64 bit binary. It won't work if its 32bit.
Use command: file

It is normal corporate financial report like that. And the growing room is
not that good. Jump to smaller size company do senior or manager? Then after
a few years, you could try controller. If you want more life, when you are
senior level, try non for profit?still remember staying 11:30 the night
before corporate submit. Take it easy.....

Thank you, now I see. The executable is 32 bits, but I do not
have the 32 bits version of the library. Where can I find a 32 bits
version of the library (libidn.so.11)? It does not come with the
application installation.

Or you can jump to other group? Like financial planning? VBA should help a
lot if doing financial planning. Personally feel AR,AP,treasure, field acct
are career downgrade for you. Be happy and move forward.

I assume you using RPM-based systems.
You can run
yum install -y libidn-devel.i686
to get this library file

This work is nothing compared to big four workload.55555555555555 I know
there are so many managers who have kids and are still staying in big four.
I feel tired too and the hours is soooooooo crazy too. I guess there are
many many people out there who work many hours too.

or triple full workload every day)

你做flux schedule的时候他们问AP为什么变了
你就答 "due to timing"就完事了
随便应付一下auditor 让他们去figure out 哈哈哈～

By the way, Non-for-Profit really lay back...I know a CFO, she had 2 sheeps,
two dogs,13 chicken, one horse...I always think ing how she takes care of
all her animals with CFO's job...may by as CFO, you don't need do anything??
