my questions:

2) "are invited by..." can we remove "to"? any difference?
3) it's correct to say "as follows", how about:

b. as the following
c. as the followings
d. as follow

2) you don't invite someone to a funeral. try this.. "A public service will
be held for Don on xxxx(date) at yyyy(place).
(details goes here)
3) 4) don't even state the last sentence... people are smart enough to
figure out the details are below your first sentence.
