'how can i give your answer if the quesiton is a secret?'
in the above sentence, I cannot grasp the word 'if' when listening to
the audio from radio. How can you grasp this kind of little word
such as 'if' 'it' when they are in position of linking and omission?

这句话是是不是这样比较好:
how can i give you answer if it's a secret?
我不能理解的逻辑是:question本身是secret还讨论什么answer.
radio里就算听不"见"if,那你有没有听懂那句话?
这是听力能力的问题not necessarily把if听真切.

这句话语法没错（漏了一个an)，事实上原文是
"What is the question?" Pete asked. "It's a secret," The creature said. " A
secret?" Pete said,"That's stupid! How can I give you an answer if the
question is a secret?" The creature spoke again,"Come here and I'll whisper
the question in your ear."
