Role synopsis The North America Gas (NAG) Regulatory, Compliance &
Environment (RC&E) Team is seeking an Environmental Engineer Air Specialist.
The successful applicant for this position will primarily be involved in
air quality permitting, compliance and reporting (i.e., “license to operate
”) for the U.S. onshore portion of BP's upstream NAG Region. The successful
applicant will report to the Environmental Team Leader for the NAG RC&E
Team located in Houston. The successful applicant will also be involved in
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) external and internal reporting. The successful
applicant will serve as the Houston-based air quality resource to the Arkoma
Operations Center (located in Oklahoma) and the Anadarko Operations Center
(located in Texas and Oklahoma) and will work with, and in support of, the
Field Environmental Advisor, the Environmental Team Leader, and the Area
Environmental Team Leader. Additionally, the position may require the
oversight and direction of one or more full-time contingent labor staff
providing air quality permitting and compliance support. As a result, the
successful applicant will be expected to have strong team-working skills and
the experience and capability to ensure delivery of the Region's HSSE
performance. This position will demand an individual who is self-motivated
and has the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a relatively fast-paced
environment. While this post will have primary focus in the area of air
quality, some working knowledge of waste management, water, and other
environmental issues may be beneficial.
