Just heard that faculty could order free textbooks from publishing companies.
Anyone did that? Is it convenient? how to do that step by step? Thanks a lot

The office assistant in our department always order desk copies of textbooks
for faculty and TAs. Please talk to the counterpart in your department.

get anything from them yet. Usually how long should I wait for that? Thanks

It depends. No "usually." Sometimes a sales representative will contact you
directly.
