NIH R01 renewal, just found out I got an 8.0th percentile. It was re-
submission. First submission was not scored. In the revision, I deleted two
aims and added two new aims, and provided substantially more preliminary
data. I waited two cycles to get enough preliminary data. Was very nervous
over the last few days, but can have a sigh of relief now and start to work
on my 2nd R01. Wish everybody on this board good luck.

大多数所，除了NCI, 8th percentile 应该够了。

Non competitive renewal: 已经approved grant （比如一个五年的grant）, 每年交
个报告，然后给你下一年的funding. Competitive renewal: 一个grant快到期了，想
沿着同一方向继续做，可申请competitive renewal, 这和申请新grant一样，但前一个
funding period的productivity是是否成功的重要因素。Resubmission: 第一次申请每
拿到，再递。

恭喜! Renewal比new grant更有意义，代表了之前的独立工作得到同行的认可。希望能
很多年一直renew下去，保持研究的连续性。

proposal里头提供给reviewer?

没有发表，主要是做了三个新的knockin mouse lines, 和一些新的 eipgenomics的
data。但我们上一轮funding做的还不错，但没有CNS。我从来没发过CNS, 挂名的不算。
