I heard from someone before but did not believe that then.
But it seems true.
I asked APS/ACS for RL when preparing for 140 and did not get any response.
Then I moved on and got 2 RL from Europe journals.
It has been 3 months and I did not receive any more APS/ACS review requests
since then. Normally, it should have been 5-6 requests in the time span.

可以带自己的照片，附上手写一封信，哈哈
礼物什么当然也能带，可是觉得有自己亲手做的，会有亲切感（也有可能是我太老土了
）

这个没有碰到过，倒是有一个杂志，本来审过三四次了，结果有一次一篇稿子被我据了
，结果再也不发稿给我审了。

给婆婆化妆品，给公公皮带或领带，如果对打扮都没兴趣的，就带保健品，钙片，鱼肝
油，西洋参什么的，两个人都能吃。

我申请140的时候，没有问editor要推荐信。觉得不是必须的。

European journals are nicer. Got their response emails within a day and
received hard copy from oversea later too.
ACS/APS, although I reviewed over 15 papers for them, they just ignored my
email requests and did not respond at all...
The most miserable thing is that I still had 2 papers published on/submitted
to
them since then....poor me:)

外来的和尚好念经。欧洲journal的当然希望丰富自己reviewer pool的variety。

个别情况还是好几个ACS journal都这样？

it must be true, at least for ACS and APS.
I did not receive any more review requests from them since Sep 2012, though
I did not want any more either, aha...

I can't believe this. There must be something wrong with the communication.
APS is very very responsible and quick. They have people working on this. I
don't know about ACS.
