I'm not Cantonese. And I care nothing about 春晚. It was such a pain having
to watch it in China every year with my parents. It always swings between
being boring and being low... Glad that I don't have to suffer any more
here. :)

i don't think chun wan per se is fun to watch, but the experience cuddling
with parents and together expecting the new year to come is precious memory
of childhood....In my extended family, everyone goes home and watches chun
wan with their own small family right after nian ye fan, no more ma jiang!!

cultural difference...my friends from jiang zhe yi dai said explicitly that
they can't understand the humor of dong bei people..

我看赵本山的小品也不笑的，我比较喜欢黄宏的小品。
好像南方人看春晚的热情确实没有北方人那么高。
