不割（hoa不管的话），是不是自己会开花结籽，就不用re-seeding了？（杂草当然要
除掉）。

it all depends.
not all grass reseed success.what grass you got? I think you 'd better
purchase some seed to reseed.

I have been using a brand called Rebel. It's a blend of bermuda, rye, and
other
type. It's very robust.

improved bermuda are hybrid and dont have seed
ryegrass is a cool season grass, which is quick germinate, which is only for
quick establishment. which zone are you in?

不能指望草自己的子，还是要撒子补种的。

in NC. I don't know which kind of bermuda. I only know that it can withstand
drought very well since here we have water restriction during the summer.
In the winter, the green color would turn into light yellow (maybe this is the
only drawback, so far).

it should be common bermuda grass. they will seed.
the ryegrass is cool season so they will be green during winter when
bermudagrass is dormant.

thanks. I didn't water them duriing the summer. They look ok, and are not
very tall, so HOA doesn't say anything. And now I can see they seed. So I
hope the seeds will be useful next spring, to save my money

you'd better post a clear picture and i can see whether there are weed or
not.
