which state do you live at? if you live north, cool season grass will be the
choice such as tall fescue, if you live very hot place, bermuda will be
good one, if you live warm and moisture place, st. augustine will be the one.
if you want to repair the lawn, make sure you know what kind of grass you
have.
otherwise, your lawn will mix different kind of grass.
take a picture, maybe we can help you identify it.

看你的地区了，去当地的homedepot问问，一般他们会告诉你。 发照片上来，欧看看

寒地型主要是ryegrass 多年生黑麦草and bluegrass(kentukey 31 is popular)

dog urine will burn the grass, not the dog shit.
the author of this thread has explained to you that his/her neighbor thought
it was due to dog urine.
Base the picture, I don't think you can tell what cause it. grass burn can
be many reasons.
To fix lawn burn due to dog urine is very easy in short period, but if the
lawn was damaged by lawn bugs, it takes time.

so you need the cool season grass like tall fescue.

fertilizer just for this problem. Homdepot and lowes selling this. Usually
it is the liquid form.
if you are not in hurry, here is the procedure you should do now:
1. mowing your lawn once per week
2. apply turfbuilder fertilizer
3. water the lawn twice per week for 45 minutes each time. if your lawn
under shade most of time, 20 minutues should be enough

不能够肯定是不是狗干的坏事，但是有些照片可以明显看出不是狗造成的
用大量的水冲是解决狗的排泄造成的损害的办法
