上个周末的时候，几乎所有的叶子都掉光了，以为大概没戏乐。今天发现有发芽的迹象。

if all leaves gone and now you see some new buds, this is a critical time(
tree is trying hard to survive) if you want to save the tree.
suggestion: only organic fertilizer will be best for your tree. again, right
amount of water is very critical.
good luck and please keep updating the status.

就是拿不准该浇多少水，多久浇一次。我们这里很干燥。
枫树适合用酸性肥料吗？这里土壤偏碱性
今天看到一小片叶子出来了。

to quick test the soil moisture: here is the easy way, reach about one inch
below the soil using your figure, and feel if it is moisture. If you feel
wet, that means you apply too much water. (This test is done after many hours after watering at daytime, for example, test the moisture at afternoon if you water it in the morning)
Did you apply the compost at top of soil around the tree? If you did, you
don't have to apply any fertilizer at this stage.
I suggest not to use any non-organic fertiliz
