刚刚从walmart买了poeny sarah bernhardt 的root。
上面写的是我们这个zone 4－5月可以栽。而且包装上还写有plant now for summer
color。
回来自己上网查了，root的最佳栽种时间似乎是late summer 和fall？
是不是今年不能开花了，那到底上面时候栽？
不行我就去退了。

可以，一般你们本地店里卖的都是适合本地的。
芍药还好，春天可以种，不过店里买的小包一般都是一年的根，要第三年才会开花。

要三年才可以啊，那我还是去退了，到花房买成棵的大点的好些。

Peony needs cold temperature to stimulate flower-forming. You willnot see
the flower this year, no matter what you buy, the root or plant.

花房的那种要带骨朵的应该可以吧

No. No flower will show up the first year. Peony doesn't like to be moved
around.
I bought one from lowes in 2007. Nothing came out.
In 2008, one flower. In 2009, four. Then I sold my house.
I planted four(bought from cosco) this year for my new house.
I surely missed those beatiful peony flowers in my old house.
If you want lots of flowers that last throughout the summer, try dahlia.I am
planting ten in my back yard.
