I came home Saturday night and found a plastic grocery bag at my door. I
picked it up and it was very light. I opened it, and to my shock and horror
it was full of HAIR!!! I instantly dropped it with all sorts of thoughts
running through my mind: a dead animal, a human head? Then I realized it was
too light for those, so I checked again. It was all hair in various shades,
hard to tell if it was human or animals’. I’ve never come across
something this weird before. I was upset and a bit scared. I wondered if it
was a joke from some kids, or a message from some racists like a burning
cross on one’s front lawn. I called xxxx and asked her if this might mean
anything. She couldn’t think of any. I decided to check with my neighbors
the next day and see if they got any clue. If not, I thought I’d report the
incidence to the police. The next morning while I was in my backyard, my
neighbor, this very nice old lady, came out and called me: “Hi xxx, I was
just calling you on the phone and saw you out here. I left you something at
your door yesterday…”
[email protected]#$%^&*
You’ll never guess what it’s for…
She said she learned that hair can repel small pests and keep them from
coming into your vegetable garden. She got the hair from her hairdresser.
She showed me she placed some near her tomato plants. Isn’t she sweet,
making me going through all sorts of scenes from horror movies in my head…
:)
