Technically speaking, Spanish moss is not actually a moss.It can hold
moisture but not too much water, that's why it's mostly used in indoors pots
but not in outdoors garden. Another reason it's avoided in gardens is it
tends to harbor worms/bugs/mites/bacteria or other organism, but since these
are easy to control in an indoors pot, and so still applicable in a pot.
Not to mention it also adds interest to the drab soil.
