一年的OPT 2011年2月上旬到期， 看了有关规定，有６０天grace period可以让你待
在美国，但是不能工作，不知如果今年４月１号大限没赶上，到明年能不能在这个

我听律师说，如果opt在4.1之前到期，可以申请h1b，但是从opt到期到h1b生效（10.1

回lz：这种情况也可以cap－gap extension，但是不能工作。
因为申请H1B的时候你就是只能合法呆在美国，但不能工作，延期也一样。

你要担心的不是3月到4月的gap，是3月到10.1 h1b生效的gap
你可以呆在美国，但是不能工作。因为你申请h1b（4.1）的时候，已经没有opt可用了

上去的。这时候你干活不管拿不拿钱，理论上是illegal，看公司喽。

为什么律师说也不能呆着，需要转成其他身份才可以，比如说延长F1或B2什么的。到底
