拿到了普林斯顿一个 associate research scholar 的位子，合同说可以独立研究，独
立申请经费。在网上看了一下，属于 non-tenure-track faculty，其实就是高级博士
后，依赖于教授的 soft money。请问：如果能够自己申到经费，这样的位子转成
tenure-track faculty 的机会是不是还是很小？谢谢大家！

My 485 package was delivered on Dec 1st. I just realized that 支票写成USCIS
了，应该是U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration
Services.
What should I do to make it up? send out anther check right away? I need EAD
desperatly. I don't want to waste my time on REF.
Thanks a lot.

the chance is very very slim, if non-zero.
you think Princeton would give you a tenure-track position just because of
your 能够自己申到经费? there is fundamental difference between a non-tenure-
track and a tenure-track position.

我除了工作睡觉吃饭灌水，大部分时间都在院子里。花的钱没有数过
我要是有你这样的邻居就好了，你买后可以送我帮你照理

谢谢您回复。请问什么是 r1？我一直在欧洲学习工作，不是很了解美国的大学体系。

Thank you so much for your replying. I called uscis and was told my package
will be rejected and returned. I need resubmit it with right check. I was so
blue before reading your post. Cross my fingers to wait for my check to be
cleared.....

my check was cashed today.....
but for those who haven't submit ur package, it is better to use the full
title on your check. I saw a post on EB1 page that he did get trouble by
using uscis title.
