前不久有ID说起过这个问题。
我现在在做tax return
按我的理解，假如去年7月16号买房，那么我付的利息就是5个月+16天
可是1098表上的数字少了那么1个月+5天的样子。
问mortgage agent，她说去年12月的利息是今年1月初付的，所以不算。可以算进tax
return deduction的应该是4个月+16天。
倒是是她对还是我对？
1098表上数据不对怎么办？联系lender，还是自己另填差额？

我几个星期以前发文说过1098上的数据不对的问题.

不过2009 年12月的利息如果你是2010年1月交的,确实应该在明年(2010)的tax return
里算.
要注意HUD-1 表上列的那些 interest / tax 别忘记填在 tax return里. 很多钱呢.

1) isn't partial month interest on HUD-1 form included in the total amount
on 1098?
2) isn't prepaid property tax on HUD-1 form just a deposit into your escrow
account? I think it's still your money until escrow makes a payment to
government. and that actual payment is counted in itemized deduction.
pls correct me if i am wrong

no. At least in my case.
escrow
yes, that should be in the deduction.
But my 1098 did not include it.
