VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, CA, United States (UPI) -- NASA canceled the launch
of two satellites Tuesday because of unsatisfactory weather conditions in
west-central California.
The scheduled launch of CloudSat and CALIPSO -- Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and
Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations -- from Vandenberg Air Force Base,
Calif., was scrubbed shortly before 6 a.m., EDT, due to higher than allowable
upper level wind conditions.
The next launch attempt is tentatively set Wednesday at 6:02 a.m.
