yale stat isn't bad at all. i know people who got good
positions in both academia and industry. also i heard
the dept has a cozy environment and faculty are very
willing to help students. just what i heard...

I didn't say that ALL the courses are the same. I just said MOST.
Besides, only a handful schools have dept of Biostat. But many schools
have only Stat.
I major in Biostat but all the courses I took in Stat count.
As for epid class, only 3 courses are required in our dept. I don't know
the case in other schools, but most students in my program really don't
care about them. A score like B+ in EPID course is very common.
So my suggestion is still, if you want to do theory, go to STAT, if you
want
