Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is xxx. I would like to invite my parents and my older brother’s
family to the United States for tourism purpose and visit me. I am writing
to explain the reason to invite them and the travel plan.
I came to the United States in 2010 under J2 visa with my husband(J1 visa)
and my son(J2 visa), and started to work as postdoctoral in xxx from April
2011 after I got the Employment Authorization Card.
Although I live comfortably here with my family and nice coworkers, I can’t
help missing my parents who miss me very much, too. I keep in touch with my
parents and my brother’s family via phone, and video chatting almost every
week. I wish I could go back china soon, but I am currently very busy at
work, and will not have enough vacation time to visit them in the coming
year. Therefore, I, my parents and my borther’s family agree that this is a
good time for them to take a three-month tour to the United States and
spend the Chinese new year with me since we haven’t spend this Chinese
traditional holiday together for almost five years(I have studied in xxx
for six years).
My parents have never visited US before, and I really want to show them how
my life and work here looks like. My older brother likes travelling very
much and wants to show his kids how beautiful and huge this world is. He has
brought my parents and his family to many places in China such as Beijing,
Qingdao and so on and also plans to go to Xizang in the coming year. If they
can get the visa, it will be a very wonderful chance for them come to other
country and get a taste of American life. I am going to bring them to visit
Las Vegas, Disney land, San diego, and Hollywood and so on. And we are
really looking forward to this family reunion.
My brother will take care of all of their roundtrip air tickets. During they
stay in US, they will stay with me and my family at our home as the address
above. I will also cover any necessary related expenses for their entire
trip. I have a secure job and stable savings, which are plenty to support
their travel expenses.
My parents and my borther’s family will not be able to stay longer than a 3
-month period in the U.S. (from Dec. 2011 to March 2012) due to the
following reasons:
1, Both of my brother and sister-in-law have very good and stable job in
China. Since it is close to Chinese New Year vacation, they can get several
weeks’ vacation. After the brief travel, they will go back to China and
continue their works.
2, My niece need to go back to school to continue her study after this
winter vacation. And my nephew will also need to go back to his daycare.
3. My parents need to return with them to take care of kids of my brother
since both of my brother and sister-in-law are very busy in working.
Your favorable consideration regarding their visa applications will be
highly appreciated. If you have any question regarding this matter, please
kindly contact me/us at the address above.
Sincerely,
