You were completely wrong. Of course怀孕期间公司能lay off your wife, not because of pregnancy but because of performance. 但是生完娃,她有3个月的产假(12 weeks to be exact),在此期间公司 CANNOT lay off your wife. This is called FMLA. However if your wife's company is small company, or your wife has not worked for the company for more than 12 months , she is not protected by FMLA.
