I was surprised to hear that my 3 year old daughter spoke in Chinese "ni shi
ge xiang jiao". When further asked, she said one of the assistant teacher
told her "you are a banana" and she thought it's funny and translated it
into Chinese to me at home.
I am not that comfortable first hearing such sentence. Am I too sensitive?
is it normal for the teacher to say such sentence to my daughter?

我们并没有对它做些什么，春末开过花后也没怎么关注它
今天一看，叶子发紫了，干枯变脆了
我知道芍药的枝干冬天也会死掉，来年发新枝
那现在这个状态是正常的吗？

原来我们daycare老师一直管他们班一个很漂亮的白人小孩叫banana。我一直也挺奇怪
的。很少听到这种用法啊。那个老师管我们娃叫cherry-berry。

看上去叶子上长了霉病。
现在也是时候把它cut back，留大概1寸几颗。
芍药长病也算是普遍现在。

这个东西先别假设老师有啥恶意。我娃儿有阵子自己说自己是banana，说完一阵怪笑。
3岁小朋友，来龙去脉还说不清楚。搞清楚了该生气生气，该抱怨抱怨。

就是个给小孩好玩的外号而已.

我就不明白小孩怎么能么喜欢起外号。这两天看了Author 配眼镜那一集，老大就开始
唱‘babi （她这么叫LD) is in trouble, babi has four eyes'.

喜欢起外号的不只小孩吧? 只不过大人不太好意思说而已.
我就爱给我孩子起外号, 乱叫....

如果老师是个白人，我觉得人家未必认为香蕉是我们所说的ABC
你可以直接问老师，并说明一下我们的文化里，香蕉不是很好的意思
不过话说回来，黄皮肤，白人思想，其实用香蕉形容还是很贴切的，也未必有歧义

哈哈，我家娃也是BANANA。在DAYCARE都不知道被叫了多长时间了。每次在电脑上或者
纸上写自己的名字都是先first name Hannah+last name+nick name banana再外加一大
堆她在DAYCARE的猪朋狗友。。。
LZ娃儿的名字应该有类似的XXXXNA。DAYCARE的老师不会是恶意的。
