Position Summary:
Teach math and science to elementary and middle school children
All instruction will be in Mandarin Chinese
Key Requirements:
Minimum of BA or equivalent
Degree in math, science or engineering
Native speaker of Mandarin Chinese
Ability to read, write and speak English
At least 2 years of teaching experience
Non-teaching work experience desirable
Experience with preschool/elementary school children desirable
Compensation:
190 day assignment
Starting compensation $36,600 - $50,000 DOE and education ( approx. cost of
living adjusted compensation in San Francisco, CA $81,600 – $111,850)
Includes flexible benefit program
50% tuition discount for children of faculty member
Free childcare for children 3 years and older during before and after school
program hours
Opportunities for annual performance based raises
Possibility of augmenting salary with summer assignment (June and July)
