Dear Sir/Madam,
This is xxxx writing you a letter with great pleasure in support of the B-2
visa applications of my parents, Mr. xxx and Mrs. xxx. They plan to visit me
and my family from December 2011 to May 2012.
On February 7th, 2011, my wife, xxxx, and I moved to xxxx U.S., and I starte
d working at the xxxx University as a postdoctoral research associate. Befor
e that, we both have been pursuing our Ph.D. degrees at xxxx University in E
urope since 2005. During the past six years outside our home country China,
we kept close contact with our parents and we went back to China to visit th
em every year from 2005 to 2010. On October 9th, 2010, my wife and I went ba
ck and had a wonderful wedding ceremony at my hometown with our parents, my
84-year- old grandfather and many other relatives. After the wedding, we inv
ited our parents to travel with us back to Europe and enjoyed a memorable Eu
ropean tourism trip from October to December 2010. Our wedding photos and Eu
ropean trip photos are enclosed in the prepared documents. I really enjoy my
job at xxxx university, and currently I am leading a research group working
on xxxxxxxxx. Due to my busy job schedule this year, we could not go back t
o China to visit our families. Therefore, we would like to invite them to co
me to U.S. to visit us and have another fascinating trip.
After the reunion, both of my parents will return home as my parents maintai
n strong family and social ties to China. They have been living and working
in the xxxx city for most of their adult lives with lots of relatives and cl
ose friends living nearby. My grandfather is 84 years old, and he needs inte
nsive daily care due to his diabetes and high blood pressure. My grandmother
passed away in 2007, and since then my parents have taken on the responsibi
lity of his care in concert with their siblings. To show filial piety to my
grandfather and to insure his contentment currently are the most important t
hing for my parents.
Considering their financial ties, they both have decent annual income in the
ir local region. My mother is retired with great pension, medical and social
insurance. After leaving the leading post, currently my father is still wor
king as a factory consultant to provide suggestions and advices to the curre
nt plant factory manager about plant supervision and administrative manageme
nt. They owned for years one nice xxx sq meters apartment and a private vehi
cle. Last year, they bought another brand new xxx sq meters apartment. They
further have around xxxk RMB bank deposit and around xxxk RMB stock investme
nt. Based on their financial foundation, the quality of their lives at my ho
metown city is at the top level. Therefore, there is no doubt that my parent
s will leave United States before the expiration of their authorized stay an
d go back to China together. Please refer to attached lists for supporting m
aterials.
It would be wonderful if we could spend time with my parents together in the
coming winter of 2011 and spring of 2012, when we can celebrate together bo
th the western and eastern most important festivals - the Christmas, New Yea
r and also the Chinese Spring Festival. Our current living place xxxx is clo
se to New York City, which is full of exciting events during Christmas time.
I will bring my parents to spend the Christmas and New Year at NYC and also
the surrounding cities, such as Washington DC, Boston, etc. Since I worked
as an intern for xxxx Company, I have lots of friends living in Seattle and
West Coast. Hence, afterwards I will bring my parents to visit them and enjo
y the great weather and sightseeing at Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego, etc.
After returning from the West Coast, winter should thaw into springtime and
from April to May will be the most spectacular time at xxxxx. We can spend
lots of sunny weekends with my parents together. My dad is a great angler an
d I will bring him to fish around the Lakes.
My current annual income at xxxx University is $xxxxx, and my wife and I als
o have around xxxxx USD money deposited in a U.S. bank. Although my parents
have more than enough money to pay the trip by themselves, we certainly woul
d like to support all the expenses during their stay in the U.S. including t
heir everyday living and travel expenses, medical insurance costs, and their
international travel expenses.
For your reference, I have attached a list of our supporting documents in ne
xt page. We sincerely wish my parents will get the U.S. visa as expected and
arrive in the U.S. before Christmas. As my parents have no knowledge about
English, we greatly appreciate your patience and help.
Thank you very much for your time and kind consideration.
Sincerely,
xxxxxx
