One school that I interview with has an opening for a visiting professor
position, which will become the tenure track after two years. They promise
that it is 100% guaranteed. The reason is that they are waiting for an old
retired professor to vacant his position in two years, but they do need a
new professor immediately.
What I would like to know is whether I can apply for the green card if the
employer is willing to sponsor me. (I know many school do not, but this one
says they will try to do
