背景：小学校Faculty. 07年的4月时候交EB2 employment一份申请,等了三年半，一点
动静都没有, 也不知道该等到何年何月去.想过申请EB1B，但是学校的HR比较混蛋，不
想跟他再打交道。
09年8月交了 marriage一份. 结果11月初面试那天被告知没有我的file要我回去继续等
. 后来infopass的时候告诉我的marriage based申请被送去了Texas Center. 应该
withdraw EB2才可以把我的文件弄回来. 写了withdrawal letter 2次,可是一直没有被
withdraw. 问congressman求救，10年2月份的时候USCIS终于把我的file从Texas
service center转到了local office. 但是一直都没有等到面试通知. 之间给
congressman打了无数次电话均无果,USCIS也不太回复congressman.
4月中的时候,congressman回复说应该很快了,local office 只需要拿到我的alien
file就好了.一个月之内没收到USCIS的信就再联系他.

和你情况一样，我也正在想要不要转family-based.
等EB-2可能还要一年。

i have a similar case. I filed my EB-2 485 a long time before my family
based 485. I have two different alien numbers, one from my EB-2 and one from
my famil-based 485.
I received an interview notice around 6-month after filing family based 485.
During the interview, my case was approved. Then on the following day, it
got messed up with my EB-2 and both cases were transferred to the Nebraska
center.
After several calls to Senator, the family case was sent back to local
office after another 6 mon

Wow you waited even longer. I've only got card production notice and welcome
notice so far. Hopefully nothing will get messed up again before the GC
arrives.

If you decide to do family-based, then definitely withdraw EB2. But if you
think you can get your GC through EB2 in a year, then I guess it's not worth
changing to family based.

我和楼主一样2007年交的EB2申请。09年10月中交的Family-Based的申请，10年1月13号
去面试的，面试完后，移民官告诉我很快会收到绿卡。然后我跟移民官说我还有EB2的
case在Pending。她说没问题，那个只要Withdraw就可以了。我给了移民官我的EB2
Case Number。过几天我收到Email Notification说我的Case从NSC Transfer了，当时
没反应过来，还以为我的Family-Based给转了，其实是我的EB2给转到了Local Office
。在后来没多久就收到了一个表要我签名Withdraw我的EB2申请，还没等我把Withdraw
表寄出去，绿卡就收到了。从申请到收到绿卡就３个月多一点。我申请Family-Based时
填的是我EB2的Alian Number。是不是因为这个就没有搞混移民官。

You're so lucky!
I also filled EB2 alien number in family based application and they still
got confused.
