主申请人已经file了１４０ Eb1b， 但４８５ 要等１４０ 批了才能file。 副申请人
（配偶）可以先file４８５吗？ 是不是只要有１４０ 的receipt就可以file了？

It should be ok to file 485 now, however, the approval of 485 depends on the
approval of 140. If you want to get EAD (you might get it before the 140
approval), EAD will expire when your 140 is denied.

Thanks. 如果１４０ 悲剧， EAD 失效， 应该还可以转成其他身份的吧？ 比如H４／O

可能不行. 仔细看看part2 of I485 form.如果主申请人不递, 没有一项可选. 这是我
的看法. 我也想这么干来的.但觉的不行.来看看其他人怎么说!

Asked the attorney who did my case. she said yes but I am still a little
bit concerned. According to Pijiang (wenxuecity)'s blog, it seems that I
need receipt for both I140 and 485. Anybody any comments?
