我的背景是，从加拿大公司H1B relocate到美国，公司当初承诺半年后就开始着手绿卡

年过去了，前些天催问公司的时候，收到如下回复：
Our immigration consultant reviews each case for permanent residence
filing eligibility at the 6 months mark. In the US, a case that is filed
within a short period of time of starting work is not very strong. Since
your H1-B expiry date is 2012 and your maximum H1-B status date is 2015 we
have quite some time to build a strong case and then file.
Please be assured that the immigration consultant will start the permanent
resident filing for you when the time is appropriate. It is also important
to note that the first 6 to 9 months of the process is employer driven
with little or no involvement from the employee. We understand that it can
be nerve racking to not receive regular updates but there are strong
regulations in place that dictate what information we can provide you. You
will be provided updates as milestones are reached in the process.
