大家新年好！
大家给点建议看看我申请EB-1b 过的几率有多大？！谢谢
美国三流学校农学PhD,期间没有文章。毕业后转到医学领域做博后，期间发表3片小
文章（一，二，三作各一篇）。现在有三篇投出去了（其中两篇一作）。文章引用
次数18。一作那篇被欧洲的同行在杂志上评论。专利一个（第二）。现在系里答应
出FACULTY 位子，前提是拿到绿卡。2007年 12 月申请的是EB2 PERM 的，但是排期还
是有点时间，想尝试EB1b一下了！
请推荐下什么样的律师么？谢谢

So...how are you going to explain your 'permanent position'?

So...how are you going to explain your 'permanent position'?]
Because the university policy requires all faculty must be citizen or
permanent residents. Although the department Chief committed to give me the
faculty position, I have to get the GC first otherwise I can not get the
official appointed certification. This is the flick dilemma. If I apply EB-
1b, they are willing to write the support letter.

Strange policy...
What's your current position? If you have a title better than "postdoc", it
may work just fine for EB1b.
You can also probe your department if they can give you the job offer letter
for the faculty position. I think that'd be good enough.
Anyway, I am sensing some reluctance on your department's side "we really
like you but sorry can't hire you for the legal reason"

I do not know other universities. But at least for UC, e.g. UCI, UCR, UCLA..
. The policy requires citizen or permanent residents otherwise can not be
appointed a faculty. What kind of title I should get from the department for
EB1-b?
Anyway, greatly appreciate your help
